The keys for me to establishing balance have been finding other things to do so I have reasons to come home from the office, then sticking to them. Things like ordering a few new books online and setting my goal to read x number of pages a day, also I've started back in with an alarm in the mornings, so I still start my work day the same time (I go about 10-8 then leave and play, then come back to it about midnight, and that works for me right now) then if I wake up somewhere in 6-8am I get 2-4 hours of extra study / creative time for myself. Sticking to a schedule like this gets me sleeping easier and staying more excited about life. My last change I've been able to take, which may sound cheesy, is finding time to sit and relax / meditate type of thing. I just try and get 10-20 mins in a day of sitting in a park, finding an open church and sitting there, just trying to observe what's going on around me instead of always walking to a destination. I don't know what this helps necessarily, but I feel like a better person because I do it.
