One day Alice came to a fork in the road and saw a Cheshire cat in a tree. “Which road do I take?” she asked. “Where do you want to go?” was his response. “I don’t know,” Alice answered. “Then,” said the cat, “it doesn’t matter.”

If you’re going to do this, there’s no sense wasting the experience and a year of your life drifting. Be very methodical about your education, this is important. First define in very succinct fashion what you want/need to know in order for you to feel confident as a business person and connected into your career that you are looking for. Define the experiences you want to have, then let’s go after them.
In Russian the word for goal is meta, and the word for target… interestingly enough, is also meta. There’s an obvious correlation here, ponder this for a second. You set a goal, it is a target, something you have to aim for, focus on, and drive towards. By setting your specific (ambiguity helps no one!) targets you plan on hitting over the course of the next year, you will be much more likely to hit them. So take the time and do this right.
That said, our goals probably won’t be the same, but if you want an example, or if you want to hold me accountable, my goals post is here, feel free to feed me suggestions of things I may want to add, or share your own goals so we can keep each other accountable. Anyway, with goals in place, it’s time to rock and roll.
