How? You want to know how? It isn’t enough that I’ve filled you with dreams, hopes, and optimism, but you want to actually know how I plan on making this happen? How do I plan on reading thirty-four books, working for free, getting the reviews and write-ups in, and keep all the other sides of life going?
Believe it or not, it’s going to happen in four hours a day, five days a week.
Four hours. Not bad, eh?’. Remember in college how these activities normally took somewhere closer to twelve hours per day? Well, I don’t have twelve hours to give; I’m giving four. So from 6-10a, 8a-12p – wherever you can fit the block – do it and stick to it.
I’m spending two hours a day reading whatever book I’m on, considering the densest reading I know (the Bible, anyone?) I can crank out twenty pages an hour, this will move me along at 40 pages a day; probably more to be honest. You see, because the 4 Hour Work Week (makes it seem like there are only four hours to work over the entire week) will not be nearly as dense as, say, Deuteronomy, I promise. Seriously and this isn’t fast reading, this is very realistic.
That then leaves me 2 more hours a day to spend solely on pursuing business-related goals; for working on ideas and projects benefitting my ultimate strategy. But then after 10am, back to life as usual, or job, or internship, or whatever else I’m involved in. I can handle that.
